Women And The World Cup

The men's FIFA World Cup is upon us and going very well so far for England, I am happy to say. And for many of my female friends the tournament can not be over and done with quickly enough. When I ask them what their view is on football, the answer is that they are firmly and absolutely not interested. Though they will occasionally fake it for the men folk that they love and share their lives with. Unfortunately, many of my female friends say the exact same about orgasms. But anyway...

Actually, no, let me stay on that topic for a minute. It is amazing to me how much time and effort a lot of women put into managing the feelings and emotions of the men in their lives, both the ones they are romantically involved with (or just shagging for fun and relaxation) and otherwise. Obviously girls who work as the sexiest escorts Barcelona has to provide have to fake their orgasms and feelings. Not all the time, but obviously they want their clients to be happy. But amateur women who are just in relationships? Why are we brought up to take the feelings of men into such focus? The majority of men obviously do not give a toss what their women are feeling – certainly not during sex – but we women seem to devote all our energy to reading and managing male reactions and emotions.

My women friends who have had any real time paying attention to professional football and the male supporters hate the sexism that exists in football and many of the typical “fans” that can be violent, abusive or foul mouthed. Or all three. There is a general idea of beer, violence and football and lots of women choose to steer clear of that. Sure, the young athletic men who play football might be attractive and appealing. But watching the sport with all the culture that goes with it? Not so much, thank you. There are few things less interesting or appealing than spending a lot of time with screaming, sweating and normally angry men in large groups. It is bad enough handling all that in the comfort of your own sitting room!
